Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and au KDDI teamed up to work on one of the most creative add campaigns. With Kyary‘s concert as a centre piece, on the 29th of January au KDDI transformed the area around Sojoji temple into an interactive ‘theme park’. The audience was encouraged to download the Odoroki app to their phones, which allowed them to control water fountains, taxis, street lights and other various illuminations. During the concert Kyary asked the audience to shake their mobiles in order to help ‘charge’ the Tokyo Tower and the temple, resulting with a colourful light show.
The campaign’s goal is to advertise the Odoroki app, which aims to help citizens interact with their surroundings.
The advert is currently played in Japan and features Kyary‘s new single, Ninjari ban ban / にんじゃりばんばん, which is released today.
